Time to go our seperate ways

Stank-0 has been mulling this decision and understands the difficulty in making this step, but Stank-0 has been pushed to the edge.

Stank-0 has decided to stop actively watching and reading ESPN. That means if Stank-0 is in a public place with ESPN on, there’s nothing he can do about it. [Author’s note: Except actively hate on the network. HATE! HATE! HATE!] Now, Stank-0 understands there are extensive links and urls to stories from ESPN on this blog. This all stems from either perceived racism or favoritism on the part of the Worldwide Leader in Sports. Let’s give some context.

By now you’ve all heard about Ben Roethlisberger’s allegation. Well the entire sporting world wrote, dissected, and discussed the matter except for…you guessed it ESPN. There’s word that a “do not report” memo came down from Bristol. Then the weak-kneed explanation about it not being a resolved matter.

Yet, other players (with more melanin in their skin) have not received the same treatment. They treat Ocho Cinco’s excessive celebration TDs like it’s the fall of Western civilization. Don’t get Stank-0 started on T.O., who by the way has never been arrested, charged with a crime, or on CourtTV. We don’t have to go very far back to look at Matt Jones, who was moving ye-yo (that’s cocaine to the uninformed) and was still able to play games until it was seemingly spotlighted by one Joey Porter.

ESPN’s silence on Ben’s legal snafu was the camel that broke the straw’s back. Either drag every player through the “ESPN legal opinion” ringer or quit targeting specific players.

This ESPN ban will be difficult because Stank-0 vowed to dump the NBA until Seattle got a new team and he has slipped in that regard. So it is time to do what Stank-0 said he will do.

Is Stank-0 overreacting?
